We’ve designed a brand new lifestyle magazine that has just been launched by the new owner of the Oldham Evening Chronicle newspaper group.

Nicola Adamson, one of our graphic designers, has overseen the creative process for Signature magazine, published by radio station Revolution 96.2 which bought the Chronicle group in the autumn.

The new 52-page lifestyle magazine includes health, fashion, beauty, food and drink, family events, music, arts and crafts, theatre, cycling and motoring features.

Former Chronicle staff Karen Doherty, Simon Smedley, Steven Berry and Darren Robinson provided many of the features and photographs, working as freelancers for Revolution 96.2.

The new magazine is free and can be picked-up at selected Oldham Community Leisure gyms and leisure centres, retail outlets, offices, cafes, restaurants, Oldham Coliseum theatre, libraries and health centres.

Revolution 96.2 is now publishing three Oldham Chronicle-branded quarterly magazines, all designed by Cornerstone. The other two magazines are Oldham Business Edge and The Knowledge, which covers education.

Cornerstone’s new PR manager Robbie MacDonald has acted as contributing editor for the three magazine launches.

Radio station Revolution 96.2 broadcasts across eastern Greater Manchester covering Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside, and is owned by Credible Media.

The station’s managing director Matt Ramsbottom said: “It’s great to see Signature magazine hitting the streets. It looks fantastic and has far exceeded our expectations for the first edition. We are developing new local media products and services, and Signature is part of our exciting plans. We’re really looking forward to developing all three magazines throughout 2018.”
