In my last blog, I signed off noting that I’d love some meaty projects coming my way and I wasn’t disappointed with these ones!
Your Gym is a gym facility located at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford. Being in such an exciting location, we were equally excited to transform sections of the interior.
The walls at Your Gym were in need of a little TLC before we started, and although the graphics were a fairly simple design, they really made the space a vibrant environment for people to workout in from now on.
The graphics for the free weights wall were printed on six 1.1m high-quality gloss white vinyls so we were able to have everything match up perfectly and end up with a lovely continuous graphic; it was great to see the job right through from our Cornerstone print room to applying the finished piece onto the wall with ease thanks to the materials used. Finishing it off with a matt overlaminate was the final cherry on top of a very satisfying project.
Completed alongside the free weights wall vinyl was the Your Gym boxing corner, which really gave us the opportunity to stretch our muscles on this project. This part of the project required a lot of pre-treatment on the wall, which when I look back on the project gives me a great sense of accomplishment looking at those before and after pictures!
Stoneswood Living is made up of gorgeous retirement buildings; comfortable residential living nestled amid the beautiful Saddleworth. It was really important to me that we emulated that picturesque atmosphere as much as possible within this project.
This was a really satisfying job to complete as it turned the pre-existing run down signage into fresh new signage, using existing posts and relocating them to more prominent positions.
The signage was comprised of two 8’ x 8’ signs and one 8’ x 4’ sign all produced at Cornerstone; right through from design, print, lamination, to application of the graphic to the di bond panels wrapped edge and installation. Finishing the job to our high standards included us using specific colour rivets to match the design when fixing the board to the aluminium sign channel, meaning the design wasn’t compromised and the finish was consistent.
It’s fair to say this install was physically tough with the need to erect a scaffold tower, dig out the old signage, repurpose that signage to keep client costings down, relocate and fix the posts to their new locations and then finalise. But every second was worth it to see such amazing results in this lovely space.
Yet again, this was another project that was really satisfying to see from conception in the Cornerstone design studio to admiring the finished product on site.
