Parker’s approached Cornerstone to create a unique online identity for their chain of garden centres across the Manchester and Lincolnshire areas.
The website needed to be fully responsive, engaging, and built on the history and heritage of the brand and the company itself. Parker’s also wanted the website to feature the centres products, and key offers prominently so that it was visually engaging to the user and also offered helpful tips & advice to customers via video.
Cornerstone developed a unique look and feel that mimicked the style of a garden centre through the colour scheme and “wooden-fence” background. This helps the user immediately interact with the website accordingly and helps them to get a taste of the brand straight away.
Carrying out UX design, we also ensured that the user would be able to navigate easily through key sections of the website, and gain the information they wanted, leading to an enquiry for Parkers.
Work was also carried out on the responsive look and feel, and design for mobile and tablet devices, ensuring a 100 out of 100 user experience rating from Google, indicating a positive experience for online users via the website.
We also made sure that it represented and reflected the ethos and history of the brand, with the use of original photographs and emphasis on the background of the Parker’s family and centres. The new site also displays the three garden centres and key offers prominently to both customers and users.
The website was well received from all at Parkers, as they felt that it truly reflected the heritage and ethos of the brand, the company, and its history. We also carried out search engine optimisation, (SEO) and design work for launch, and ensured that it was on time and live, ready for a key August bank holiday weekend.
