Aguri sell specialised technology for motorists, including sat navs, dash cams and speed trap detectors built for truck, bus, coach, motorhome and car drivers.
With world leading sat nav mapping software and unique products, Aguri originally came to Cornerstone wanting to refresh their brand and website to better reflect the quality of their products and service.
Their aim was to increase brand and product awareness to their key audiences and ultimately drive sales.
We proposed a year-long fully integrated marketing strategy for Aguri to sustainably build their website and develop brand awareness over time. We placed streamlined customer journeys at the forefront of the strategy, including clear messaging to highlight Aguri’s strengths of excellent customer service and innovative, helpful products.
The strategy began by reviewing their brand and web presence and developing a new website with e-commerce and intelligent features such as a compare product function. When this was in place, we then reached out to their target audiences through social, PR, and digital channels including pay-per-click advertisement.
Our marketing strategy for Aguri accelerated sales and positioned the brand as a high-quality provider in the industry.
From the web launch on October 1st 2018 until June 30th 2019, there has been an 11.89% year-on-year increase in transactions and 3.58% increase in revenue on the Aguri website according to Google Analytics. Position-based conversions are up 26.68% on the organic traffic channel, up 5.74% from paid search, and up 59.39% on social.
The website design and functionality gave Aguri a strong visual identity, increasing web visits by 22% and reducing bounce rates by 99%. We also created an e-commerce platform, including some useful features such as a compare tool and live chat function to make the buying process smoother.
Our digital offering involved making Aguri products available through a range of routes to market, with successful PPC campaigns bringing in 17% more traffic with 79% more goal completions. Google Ads clicks increased by 148% since we took over the channel, with 8.47 million impressions in the course of a year.
By improving SEO and optimising key words, we quickly pushed Aguri up the rankings on Google by 477 places to number 1 and gained 591 places on Bing.
On social media, we focused on showcasing Aguri’s products and service quality, significantly increasing their following by up to 11,350% and reach by 521.4% (Linked In).
We also generated some fantastic PR exposure in three industry-leading magazines: showcasing Aguri products in Camping and Caravanning Club, What Motorhome and Trucking Magazine with two products on separate occasions. With a monthly audience of 300,000 and 67,000 readers respectively, and even more on social media channels, these positive reviews ground Aguri as a credible leader in the road technology industry.
Aguri were really pleased with the results we delivered, and have renewed their contract with us for the following year to continue to make significant positive impact to their business. We are working on a more in-depth PR strategy alongside the full marketing mix to continue to drive brand awareness and sales.
